What should I do if I have a complaint?
Send your complaint to hello@castradar.uk and we will acknowledge it within two working days. This is the quickest route to a resolution.
Please include the specific URL or article title, a clear description of the issue, and any evidence you think is relevant. For example, if a cast list on a TV series guide omits an actor or credits the wrong performer, tell us exactly which guide and which entry is affected. We treat every complaint seriously, whether it concerns a factual error, a missing credit, a privacy concern, or a potential breach of our editorial standards. You can also submit complaints via our general contact page, but the dedicated complaints address ensures your message reaches the right team fastest.
What happens after I submit my complaint?
Our Standards & Fact-Checking team, led by Patrick Nolan, reviews your complaint against our fact-checking policy and editorial policy. You will receive a response within five working days.
Patrick and his team investigate by consulting original sources, such as broadcaster press packs, official cast sheets, streaming-platform metadata, and direct confirmations from representatives. If the complaint is about a cast credit or character name, they cross-reference our guide against multiple reliable databases and, where possible, primary sources. Once the review is complete, we tell you what we found, whether we will make a correction, and why. If a correction is needed, we update the relevant page and log the change in our corrections record, linked from the article footer.
How this works in practice
Example: A viewer notices that our guide for the BBC drama The Split lists an actor as playing a character who left the series two seasons earlier. They email hello@castradar.uk with the URL and the correct information. Patrick Nolan’s team checks the original BBC press releases and the current episode credits on iPlayer, confirms the error, and updates the guide within 24 hours. The viewer receives a reply explaining the correction and a thank-you for helping us improve accuracy. This same process applies to streaming guides, filmographies, release schedules, and any other reference content on the site.
We aim to resolve straightforward complaints like this within a week. More complex issues, such as disputes over image rights or celebrity privacy, may take longer and require consultation with our legal and compliance contacts at hello@castradar.uk. In every case, we keep you informed of progress.
Who oversees complaints at Castradar.uk?
Our Editor-in-Chief, Vanessa Hart, is the final decision-maker on all complaints about editorial accuracy, standards, and corrections. You can reach her directly at hello@castradar.uk if you are unsatisfied with the initial response.
Vanessa reviews cases that Patrick Nolan’s team has not been able to resolve to the complainant’s satisfaction. She considers the evidence, the relevant policy (such as our corrections policy or celebrity privacy policy), and the site’s commitment to trustworthy cast and credit information. Her decision is final, and she will explain the reasoning in writing. If your complaint relates to a sponsored or affiliate article, Vanessa also reviews the commercial relationship to ensure it has not influenced the editorial outcome, as outlined in our ownership and funding disclosure.
Our full team, including Managing Editor Adam Pryor, TV & Streaming Editor Isabelle Knight, and Film Guide Editor Leon Carter, is listed on our Our Team page should you need to contact a specific editor about a particular topic area.
Where does Castradar.uk’s funding come from?
Castradar.uk is operated by Europa Point Publishing Ltd., a private company limited by shares registered in Gibraltar (company number 130118), with its registered office at Office 2.5, ICC, Casemates Square, Gibraltar GX11 1AA. Our funding comes from display advertising, affiliate links (including streaming and ticketing affiliates), commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships, and content licensing. All sponsored material is clearly labelled, and affiliate links are disclosed. Commercial relationships never determine editorial conclusions. If you have a complaint about the labelling of sponsored or affiliate content, please include that in your email to hello@castradar.uk, and we will investigate under our advertising and affiliate disclosure policy.
Our editorial independence is central to our mission as a UK-focused film and television entertainment guide. No advertiser, partner, or sponsor has any say in cast listings, character guides, filmographies, or any other reference content. If you believe a commercial relationship has improperly influenced any piece of content, we want to hear about it. Complaints of this nature are escalated directly to Vanessa Hart.
