Send a tip to Castradar
Have news, a correction, or something we should look into? We welcome tips from readers, professionals, and organisations. The more specific you can be, the faster we can verify and act on it.
What you can send
- News leads (a new project, policy change, announcement, incident, or development).
- Corrections (factual errors, wrong dates, names, locations, figures, or broken links).
- Updates (new statements, revised documents, outcomes, follow-ups).
- Useful sources (public records, reports, datasets, consultations, meeting minutes).
- Story ideas (topics you think deserve coverage, with a clear reason why).
How to contact us
Email: info@castradar.uk
Please put a clear subject line, for example: “Tip”, “Correction”, or “Update”.
What helps us verify quickly
- A link to the original source (official page, document, press release, or archive link).
- Context: what happened, where, and when (include dates and locations).
- What you’re claiming in one or two sentences, and what you want corrected or investigated.
- Supporting material: screenshots, PDFs, images, or documents (include where they came from).
- Names and spellings of people/organisations involved.
- Numbers with units and timeframes (e.g., “£2.4m in 2023/24”).
For corrections
- Send the page URL on castradar.uk.
- Quote the specific sentence/paragraph that’s wrong.
- Explain what the correct information should be, and include a reliable source.
- If the issue is a broken link, share the working replacement if you have it.
Sources and attribution
If you’re pointing us to information already published elsewhere, please include the original source so we can credit it properly and avoid repeating errors.
Confidentiality and safety
- You can tell us if you want your name kept off the record. We will treat that request seriously.
- Don’t send information that puts you or others at risk unnecessarily. If you have legal or safety concerns, say so in your message.
- Avoid sending sensitive personal data unless it is essential and clearly relevant.
What to expect after you email
- We may follow up with questions to verify details.
- Not every tip leads to a published item, but all messages are read.
